The Film Europe Channel celebrates its first full year of operations.
Bratislava, 18 November 2012 – The Film Europe Channel, the first television channel wholly devoted to film and presenting exclusively European cinematography in all 50 countries of the European continent, celebrated its one-year anniversary yesterday. It began broadcasting last year symbolically on November 17th. This unique project launched in Slovakia and the Czech Republic is highly regarded not only by local broadcasters, but also by those abroad. The Film Europe Channel has more than 800 films in its portfolio and broadcasts in SD through satellite (Astra 23,5) and in HD via fibre optic cable in original versions with subtitles, 24 hours a day, seven days a week and, most importantly, without advertisements.

Film Europe TV the new project of Ivan Hronec was awarded its licence from the Board for Radio and Television Transmission (RRTV), as noted in the minutes of the last general meting. The owner of the licence is Film Europe Media Company, and programs will be transmitted through satellite. Term of the licence is for twelve years.
